No-Go

In case the title does not say it all, my husband did not pass this part of the training. He is taking it pretty hard. We do not know what this means and what it does to our orders to Korea etc. He will redo all this field time and try it again. Please keep him (and us) in your prayers and look for more updates later when we have more information and have fully digested everything.

Oh Kristen, I am so sorry! Call me if you need to talk. I am praying for you guys. Just trust that God knows what He is doing, even when we have no clue. Love you and if it means anything right now, we had a lot of fun with you and the girls. Caleb was tired the rest of the day. But seriously, call me if you need someone to vent to or just to talk to.

I am so sorry Kristen! I just emailed you. It is so hard when things don't go as planned but God has a plan. He has something incredible for your family. Call me when you can. We are praying for you guys!

I'm so sorry.

It's times like this that it's such a comfort to trust in the sovereignty of God.

The Army has its reasons, but behind it all is God's higher reason.

There may be something you'll learn this next time through that will be crucial in a situation in the future. (either from the Army, or from a fellow sitting next to you eating lunch!). Maybe there's someone you need to meet, or someone you need NOT to meet.

But we can trust that He "works all things together for good for those who love him, and are called according to His purpose."

This isn't a failure for you ... it's an act of a sovereign, loving God, directing your life (as you've asked Him to do.) He's trustworthy, and He's loving, and there is a purpose behind it.

Nothing is wasted in His economy!

Lord, I ask that You would give Cliff peace and encouragement. May this next round of training be a blessing, and may You provide clear direction. Amen.

Hang in there!
