The joy of husbands

Seriously! I just had to share something. I belong to several online groups that carry me through these tough time being gone from my husband. One of them is a group of ladies who are Christians and have spouses in the military. That is the only rule. Today someone posted under "Praise reports" about how great their husband was. Currently her husband is on a 15 month deployment. A bunch of us started adding out replies about what is great about our husbands. It reminded me of yesterday morning though and I wanted to share because it was so special. Yesterday we sat together in church. When the man was saying one of the opening prayers I about lost it. I was getting so choked up thinking about how for 6 1/2 years we sat together in church and I never even gave it a second thought. Yesterday, sitting in church with my husband was an absolutely priceless gift! I hope I never forget that moment!
Then we were sitting under some beautiful Georgia trees, relaxing on a blanket with homemade cookies and Starbucks coffee, watching the girls run through the grass giggling and surrounded by flags and so many military things and it was awesome! All the stress and loneliness melted away in that moment. It made it all worth it just to be with him in those moments! Now today we can relax and wait to go see him tomorrow night! Just remember when you through your day today to appreciate your spouse! I do mine! He's the best!

What a great post! It is such a blessing to focus on what we have to be thankful for. It puts everything in perspective.

Remember the "capstone" to ALL the sins in Romans 1 ... after all those horrible things God lists there that people were guilty of, the one that tops them all ... "neither were they thankful." It's a challenge to me to remember how much God has blessed me.

It's crazy the little things you appreciate when time with hubby is scarce. It really puts a new perspective on life, a good one :)
