Whash Dat?

I hope no one thinks I am cruel for this post but it was so funny to me! Yesterday I took the Genius in for her laser surgery. She cannot eat or drink anything for 12 hours before. Since we had to be there so early in the morning, she had to stop eating and drinking around 6 p.m. the night before. Needless to say, she arrived on a very empty stomach. After they had monitored her pulse and blood pressure awhile they brought her (What the nurses called) "Goofy Juice". I am not sure what it is. They said it has a small amount of tylenol in it though. They gave it to the baby in the "room" next to us and she fell asleep within 5 minutes. Not so for the Genius. She fought it tooth and nail and it was SOOO funny! Within 5 minutes of taking it, her words started slurring a little. Then (and this is where I got so tickled) she started seeing things. She said, "Mommy, you gotch 5 eysh". She also saw curtains waving, ceiling pieces falling and told the doctor "You gotsh 2 headth". He said, "That does seem to happen to us sometimes." She was quite entertaining to me! I sat there with her for an hour before they took her back! The surgery itself takes less than 10 minutes. We had a little trouble waking her up afterwards (because they give her laughing gas too). When she did wake the poor thing was so dizzy. We had to wheel her out in a wheelchair. Other than that, she did quite well and seems fine today! But I still say watching her with the "goofy juice" was real funny!

How funny! I can just picture her, with her general not-wanting-to-miss-anything self trying to fight against the meds!

Video camera needs to be there if this ever happens again. :)

Hoping, though, she'll be all done after this one!

They gave Ollie it too, "happy juice". It wasn't a funny or happy effect on her. She went berzerk, flpped out and was a maniac, plus the effects after she woke up had her in elbow splints so she could not bend her elbows and pull out her iv. Needless to say, the second time she had to be put to sleep for her tests we opted no to the happy juice and things were much smoother.I know though that she will never become a drug user at least not one that enjoys the "high".

Tristan had to have a filling done on a tooth a few months ago and they gave her Versed to make her someone what sleepy. After they finished the filling we sat in a room for a bit; she alternated between crying to go home to acting drunk!! It was all I could do not to laugh out loud. At one point she kept trying to touch my nose while giggling that my nose looked funny!!
That stuff really was goof juice lol!
Glad surgery went ok for her.

I wonder why some people act the way they do---they drink happy juice.
That is cute.
Sure wish I could see them more often
and share in those precious moments.
So glad the Drs. are so kind to her.
Does Hippie enjoy the trips, too, and
seeing her sister acting that way?
My last eye exam was yesterday, now off to get some new glasses.
Trying tofinish up another book, but
somehow my pep has left me.
We will spend Thanksgiving here.

for her party!!Big time spenders.
Take care. Hug the girlsfor me.
