I don’t know about you, but I just love Christian fictional
books centered around the Amish.
Typically the books are predictable.
But they are usually innocent, with great characters and just a good
read. When looking for a good book to
read this summer, I found the book “Brush of Angel’s Wings” by Ruth Reid. I have never read a Ruth Reid book
before. But I can say that I am very
glad to have discovered her. In my
opinion this was not your cookie cutter Christian Fiction Amish book. It was different than others I have read and
I thoroughly enjoyed it and enjoyed passing It onto my mom to read as
well. The book centers on Rachel and
Jordan. In Rachel’s family she is the
last unmarried sister. Jordan begins to
step into her life but she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Honestly, he is none too keen about her
either. God has a different plan in mind
for these two though, as the book reveals.
Overall, great characters, great writing and a must have for your summer
reading list!

The Big Siblings
It is hard to know how the Professor will react to being a big brother, but the girls sure are excited! They were so excited to tell their friends and teachers today at school. The Genius really wants another brother and the Hippie really wants a little sister. However, we all agree we just want a healthy baby! Boy or girl. We will definitely be finding out the gender with this baby. I was leaning towards a surprise but with our loss in October, we both just need to know the gender this time. I go on May 2nd for my first ultrasound. I am excited and very scared as well. This pregnancy is going pretty well so far. I went in and had labs done last Saturday and Monday. My betas went from 121 to 347 in just under 48 hours. But my progesterone was low. I am taking a medication to help with that so I had to go today for more labs. This time my progesterone level was very normal. The doctor wants me to stay on the medicine and then I go back in next Monday for more lab work. As you can imagine all of us pray daily for this little baby.

Count Your Blessings....and then count them Again!
The Genius. We sure do love her! She is such a smart girl and loves learning and she loves helping around the house. She is going to be an awesome baby-sitter when she is older.
The Hippie. She sure keeps us on our toes and keeps us laughing! She loves art and being tickled!
Yep. We're POSITIVE! Making their appearance around Dec. 22, 2012 sweet baby 4!!!! The Professor will be a big brother!!!! We could not be more excited and appreciate all your prayers!!!!!!
God is SO Good!!!!!!!!
