***CLOSED*** Rockin' Green GIVEAWAY!!!! ***CLOSED***

Here it is!  My very first giveaway!  I was so honored to complete a review for Rockin' Green.  For those of us in the cloth diapering community, we have all heard of Rockin' Green.  But, did you know that Rockin' Green can be used for ALL your laundry needs?  Case in point: I was provided with some Funk Rock
to try.  After I received it in the mail, I read the directions, washed our diapers and then started soaking them.  However, my husband had suffered from a nose bleed earlier in the day and had ruined a stark white handkerchief.  We were ready to throw it away.  On a whim I threw it in with the diapers and started soaking the diapers and the nasty handkerchief.  I finished the laundry and forced myself to not look until everything came out of the dryer.  The first thing I did was to bury my nose in the Professor's diaper.  The stink was GONE!  Yea!!! Then I looked at the diapers and they were sparkly clean too.  Then came the handkerchief.  It. Was. SPOTLESS!  I truly could not believe it.  There was not a single stain on it!  Funk Rock saved my husband's handkerchief from the garbage!
I know many of you can relate to these dilemmas as well.  Rockin' Green is ready to help.  They have graciously donated a full size bag of Funk Rock to one lucky, lucky reader.  This giveaway will close Monday December 13 at midnight EST.

High Rollers

Our girls have been into board games lately.  It seems we all end up playing  game together at least once or twice a day.  Our favorites are Uno, Monopoly and Yahtzee.  Yahtzee is really an extension of the school day but they have tons of fun playing it!  We try and take it slowly and have them do a lot of the math.  Just from playing it the past few weeks, the Hippie has learned a lot of her doubles facts!  The Genius automatically knows 12 + 12 =24 just from playing!  Last night was our best game ever though.  We were playing and Daddy was winning.  The Genius was going for something where she wanted 6's.  As she prepares to roll the dice she states, "C'mon big number!!"  She sounded JUST like Bob Barker!! It was awesome! =)

A New Way To Shop

Have you heard of CSN Stores yet?  They are a culmination of over 250 stores, but you can shop from one  location!  They have everything your heart could desire!  You can find everything you need for Christmas from TV tables to cookware.  If you have kids you can find everything from bedroom sets to toysCSN Stores carries items for babies, kids, outdoor enthusiasts and even for your hard to please husband!
Here are a few of my favorite items I have found on their website so far.....
Because the girls would LOVE this bedroom set!
I need some garland for my mantel and I love this!  I think the berries are a neat touch.  And a lamp for the baby's room.  I like the lamp because it is boyish but not babyish.  I think he could use that for years.
So as you do your Christmas shopping make sure you take time to visit CSN Stores!  Happy shopping!

Best of the Week

My friend Amanda hosts a link up each Friday and I thought it would be fun to tune in!

Posty Notes

The Hippie can just be so darn cute!  Yesterday she came home from school and she was giddy.  Her favorite trouble-making boy had to pull several cards.  Evidently he was 1 card away from visiting the principal.  She thought it was great though because one of his cards got pulled for shaking his bottom at someone! LOL! Can you imagine the poor teacher?  I am sure she never envisioned disciplining for that!  Then the Hippie told me she wrote a "posty note" for me.  I think that is almost the cutest mispronunciation to date!  I love Posty Notes =)

Welcoming Wednesday #1 Marni

For the month of December I thought it would be really fun to do some interviews!  I have selected four ladies who all have great blogs and/or Etsy shops.  So grab a cup of coffee and get to know these ladies.  I will have 1 interview each week. Enjoy!

First up we have Marni.  She is really sweet and has an Etsy Shop called RebourneYou can learn more about her by visiting her blog or her Etsy shop.  She has some great items.  Here are my personal favorites!  I think the Professor would be styling in these.

Can you tell me about your family?

I am married to my best friend, Tray. We met in the bicycle shop that he manages. We have two daughters, Sage, 4 years old, and Fern, 2 1/2 years old. We just welcomed our dear son, Ryder, 5 weeks ago!

I know you have an Etsy shop, but how old were you when you started crafting?

I started crafting before I can remember. My mom, who passed away last December, was always crafting with my 3 brothers and I. She was always making and fixing things around our home, and was a self-taught electrician, plumber, painter, tiler, and decorator. She taught me to sew when I was about 5, but most importantly taught me the value in addressing a problem and figuring out how to tackle it. I always seek to honor her in my craft and remember what an amazing mother and person she was.

What is your favorite item to make for your shop?

My favorite item to make for my Etsy shop is woolies. I love the process of going to the thrift store, searching for wool that is good quality and fun colors, preparing it for being sewn, cutting it, and finally stitching it into a cute and functional garment that is good for our babies and good for our Earth.

What is the most popular item that you sell?

The most popular item I sell are woolies- wool cloth diaper covers.

Are you doing anything special for the Holidays, either for your shop or for your family?

For the holidays, Rebourne Clothing is participating in the 29 Days of Christmas event http://www.29diapers.com/2010/11/10/announcing-29-diapers-29-days-of-christmas-giveaway-event/
I will be giving away a free pair of woolies with free shipping to the winner, and there are tons of other awesome well known sponsors doing giveaways as well.
My family will enjoy some quality time together, eating tasty food, and remembering my mom at her favorite time of the year.
